Part 5: How Often Should I Come For Sessions?
If you have not read Part 4, What To Expect During & After A Session, in this series, please Click Here. It is important to understand what to expect AFTER a session.
Every BODY is different and in turn, every SESSION can be different.
As an Upledger Certified Craniosacral Therapist, I am trained to tune into your body, to assess your nervous system through your tissues, and treat whatever is presented at the time of your session, as effectively as possible.
Sometimes you may come with a specific symptom or concern, such as :
Left hip pain after hiking, or neck tension that's causing headaches
TMJ discomfort after your dentist mentions nighttime teeth grinding
Overwhelming grief after the loss of a parent or spouse
Chronic stress that has begun to show up in your bloodwork
Other times, you may feel "fine" or not know exactly what is happening, but reading this simply resonates and peaks your curiosity!
How many sessions and frequency of visits depends on the severity of your tissue restrictions, how long they have been present, and how responsive your body is.
Most people benefit from at least three to five sessions.
Healing is defined as the process of returning to a state of balance, wholeness, or normal function. Your brain and body are constantly adapting to your environment, which means every session can feel different. One visit may result in releasing of physical restrictions, while another may bring forward an emotional layer.

Healing is a non-linear process that requires time, patience, and consistency.
Past events and physical strains can stack on top of one another - consciously or unconsciously - creating deeply embedded patterns. These patterns may show up as physical compensations, automatic emotional responses, or behaviors conditioned long ago.
As healing unfolds, hidden layers often reveal themselves. When one layer of pain, tension, or stress resolves, your body finally feels free enough to show you the next underlying issue, that may or may not be connected to the first thing you came in with. Because these patterns often develop over months or years, they cannot - and should not - be unraveled in a single session. Doing so could lead to emotional overwhel, physical re-injury or other complications.
Your brain and body need time to process and integrate new perspectives, breakthroughs, and shifts in being. With additional trauma-informed and neuroscience (brain) classes, we work together to gently rewire and reconnect your nervous system pathways, releasing and reorganizing connective tissues, thought patterns, and more.
Consistency builds trust, reliability, and resilience to live a more fulfilling and satisfying life.
And that is what healing is all about... it is all part of our Sacred Journey!
